Calling all Treccies! The last Leinster TREC POR (orienteering) competition of the year is coming up on the 2nd November - check out our calendar for more details. Come along, one and all - experience and newbie treccies welcome. It promises to be a great fun day out. Leinster TREC are running a mini-league of Versatile TREC. What is Versatile TREC I hear you ask? Well, it is a mixture of PTV obstacles and obedience movements and takes place in an arena. Similar to dressage, there will be a test to perform. We will have a Pre-Novice and Novice test. The first competition will take place on Sunday the 19th October with a subsequent event on Sunday 16th November. Both events will take place in Loughway Stud, Timahoe, Co. Kildare. Entry fee is €10 for TI members and €15 for non-TI members. This is a prepay only event (you can attend one or both competitions). To enter, please contact [email protected] for an entry form and a copy of the tests. In anticipation of our big event on Sunday (only 60 hours away - OMG!), we are having a small social on Saturday night for anyone who wishes to join us. We have booked a table in the Lemongrass restaurant, behind Jones Pub in the centre of Clane. The table is booked in the name of Leinster TREC for 8pm and there is a car park behind the pub. If you would like to join us, please ring Lemongrass directly on 045 861188 and ask to be included on the Leinster TREC table. Check out their menu at www.lemongrass.ie if you want to see what the food is like! There will be drinks in Jones Pub after for any who cannot attend the dinner, and for those who want to digest their dinner! |
