Leinster TREC are delighted to announce that TRI Equestrian are the Title Sponsors of their upcoming PTV/CoP League. TRI Equestrian are well known and highly regarded throughout Leinster and beyond for their top-of –the-range facilities and range of equestrian items, as well as for their support of many equestrian activities. The TRI Equestrian/LeinsterTREC PTV/CoP League will run from February to October this year with different legs of the competition taking place throughout Leinster, including Co Meath, Co Kildare and Co Wicklow. TREC is an equine sport which has increased dramatically in popularity in recent years due to its appeal to all levels of equestrian experience, from Beginners to International riders. A full competition includes 3 phases – PTV (Obstacles), CoP (Control of Paces) and POR (Orienteering). Separate leagues also take place for the PTV(Obstacles)/CoP and for the POR (Orienteering) sections. Leinster TREC is very grateful to TRI Equestrian for their generosity and support. Kildare 5th October - TBC The TREC Young Riders are holding a table quiz as part of their fundraising efforts for the team in their quest to compete at the World TREC Championships in Italy in September.
The table quiz will be held in Ballagh House, Donadea on Saturday 22nd February starting @ 8.30. A table of 4 costs 40 euro. There will be great prizes on the night and a fantastic raffle. Please come along and bring your friends to support our Young Riders. A great night is guaranteed, with refreshments being served. Your support will be gratefully appreciated and any donations of prizes for the raffle very welcome. Want to incorporate some of your excellent dressage skills into TREC? Well, here is your answer: Versatile TREC! Versatile TREC comprises of three phases: Control of Paces (where you score points for a slow canter and a fast walk), PTV (obstacles) and an obedience test. It is held in an arena and requires much skill. It is excellent if you are looking for a new challenge or want to brush up on your flatwork skills. Leinster TREC will be holding a Versatile TREC League in Autumn 2014, so keep an eye on our calendar for dates. |
